The different filling options at a glance

Unsealed surfaces created with ECORASTER offer a wide variety of filling options and combinations. This allows you to design areas in versatile, eye-catching, or—if desired—more subtle ways. Regardless of whether the surface is designed to retain or drain water, the appearance of the unsealed surface can be customized by the material used to fill the ground grids. When making your selection, you should consider not only the appearance but also the type of use and the frequency of use.

About the possible applications

ECORASTER Green

This solution is available pre-planted with turf or you can use your own vegetation, and it is ideal for low traffic areas:

Parking spaces in tourist destinations
Offices, business parks (with long distances to entrances)
Travel tracks, e.g. for golf carts
Graveyards
Emergency access roads
Stadiums and sports venues (outside city centers)
Campsites

Suitable for parking spaces which are used for up to 4 h per day.

ECORASTER Microgreen

For this solution, the ground reinforcement elements are pre-planted with different sedum plants. Thanks to the water retention characteristics of these robust plants, this fill option is suitable for areas with medium loads.

ECORASTER Mineral

The most popular fill material for this ground reinforcement element is gravel, ballast or crushed stone. These areas are highly durable and can withstand high loads. If the system is used for maneuvering or for heavy load vehicles, we recommend overfilling the elements by 1-2 cm.

ECORASTER Bloxx

The Bloxx system works like a retaining frame for the matching inserts and features an integrated anti-clog drain channel. For inserts (“fill material”) you can choose between concrete, granite, rubber or PVC paving slabs. Bloxx is the perfect combination for E50 elements.
