It is a long journey to turn post-consumer plastics into an innovative product. At the heart of the value chain lies the processing stage, where the raw material—for example, from collection systems like the Green Dot—is cleaned, sorted, and processed into high-quality regranulate. Here, PURUS has overhauled the entire process and developed one of the world’s most modern recycling facilities for post-consumer plastics. Today, we are able to produce regranulates of very high purity in all required quality grades. Even complex products that other manufacturers can only produce using new, unprocessed granules (“virgin plastics”), we produce efficiently, economically, and with consistent quality using our secondary raw material in a certified and highly automated manufacturing process. Trash? Wrong! This is what modern plastic recycling looks like to us.
