Structure of the ECOgreen® Systems

The system structure consists of modular components that can be combined according to requirements:

  • Base plate 80 (B80 or B80R): forms the basis of the system. Is laid over the entire surface and snapped into place
  • ECOgreen® BOXX: with 80mm or 100mm substrate height, optionally with or without center hole for adapter holder
  • Adapter: available in three lengths (short, medium and long)

Easy to lay and install

The ECOgreen® system – creating the right basis

Depending on your requirements, you can choose between two different panels as the basis for your green roof.

The B80 base plate is the standard and is suitable for all common green and solar roofs.
If water retention is an issue, our B80R retention tile comes into play. At a 0° roof pitch, it can store up to 3.3 liters of water per piece – that corresponds to approx. 30 liters per m².

Both panels are 80 mm high, come with our tried-and-tested safety composite as standard, have a bayonet mount for adapters and mounting options.

The pre-greened BOXX – the heart of the ECOgreen® system

The BOXX modules are supplied pre-planted with a substrate height of 80 or 100 mm, with a choice of scattered, extensive or flowering perennial planting. This variety allows you to select the optimum substrate for your specific needs.

The nestable construction and reinforced geometry ensure high stability and efficient water management. Drainage holes prevent waterlogging and ensure that the substrate is always optimally moist. A special feature of the ECOgreen system is the “wicking function”, which allows the substrate to feed the plants from the base plate even when it is dry. This ensures the health and growth of the plants, even in times of drought or low water levels.
