Project description

ECORASTER Sidewalk in Selb – permeable pathway on company premises

ECORASTER walkways for a company in Selb. An approximately 457 m² permeable walkway was constructed for Netzsch Gerätebau AG in Selb, providing a functional and durable connection between the employee parking lot and the main building on the company premises. The project utilized ECORASTER Bloxx elements, which, thanks to their modular design and slip-resistant surface, provide a stable, low-maintenance, and visually appealing pavement solution.

The system is particularly well-suited for pathways where a durable, permeable surface is required: Rainwater can seep directly into the ground through the open grid structure, reducing puddle formation and surface runoff—an advantage over traditional sealed surfaces. At the same time, the paving design of the Bloxx elements gives the area a clean, textured look and facilitates access between the parking lot and the entrance via the company’s own pathways.

Another advantage of this design is its flexibility in adapting to curves and angles along the path: thanks to the modular connections, bends and changes in direction can be easily incorporated without compromising the stability of the surface.

This solution provided the client with a durable, low-maintenance, and visually appealing pathway that reliably accommodates daily foot traffic while taking advantage of the benefits of a permeable paving system.
